Eugène Atget (1857 – 1927)

The work of French photographer Eugène Atget documents the architecture and street scenes of Paris throughout the late 19th and early 20th century. What makes Atget’s urban landscapes particularly unique is the continual lack of human figures in his work. When viewed together, his photographs paint a beautiful yet disturbing portrait of arguably the most iconic city in the world; a private window into a lonely and abandoned Paris.

Meet Our Crew!
ANGELA BELOT - Writer/Producer

Angela always knew that the creative industry was where she belonged. Her last years of high school were focused on photography and painting but she always had a passion to be involved in making films. 

Her first year of film school saw her debut documentary, ‘Out There Education’ (2010) screened at the Astor Theatre and nominated for “Best Documentary” in the annual Martini Awards. 

Angela has producing credits on several short films and music videos. Over the last couple of years, she found a passion for screenwriting and in 2012 wrote the first draft of ‘So, Your Kid’s A Homo’. 

Recently Angela was a production assistant at Pronto Productions. She worked in pre-production and was part of the crew for the ‘Ellen DeGeneres Show’ when it came to Melbourne earlier this year.

Currently in her graduate year, Angela will be heading to the London Film Academy between semesters to attend an intensive six-week documentary course and learn from industry professionals in the UK

Hey guy’s a little support for a great group of young Australians making a short film who needs some help with funding. Every little bit helps and sharing is caring!

“So, Your Kid’s A Homo” is a coming out story, with a difference. This story doesn’t follow the traditional gay teenager, rather it tells the story of her parents coming to terms with their daughter’s announcement. 

They attend a support group led by a reformed gay man, Elton, who introduces them to his 5 step program to ‘cure’ 16 year old Abby and set her on the straight and narrow. 

After going to extreme lengths to try and ‘fix’ their daughter, they begin to realise that maybe she is not the one who needs fixing…
